Check it: A Full Plate 3rd Annual Rib Cook-off - this Saturday

Saturday, September 12th. The Piazza at Schmidt's. Meat. Veggie meat. A buffet of tempting sides. Oh so sweet aroma of bbq smoke wafting. Stoudt's brews. ROOT liqueur. You know you want to be there!
For the past few years, the folks at A Full Plate Café & Catering in Northern Liberties have organized and hosted a rib cook-off featuring both amateur and professional competitions including vegetarian, rib, and brisket divisions. I was slated to help judge the event, but made a major boo-boo on my calendar and mixed up two weekends completely. (So lame and embarrassing.) I'm going to be out of town and have to completely miss out, but you don't have to. $20 gets you all of the above, plus a seriously good time.
